Dan was born and raised in Rochester, New York and now resides in New York City. He has performed in groups led by Ari Hoenig, Troy Roberts, Remy Le Boeuf, Martin Bejerano, Shelly Berg and many others. He placed third in the International Society of Bassists Jazz Competition in 2017, and was selected as a semi-finalist for the UNISA Jazz Competition in South Africa in 2021. He has released two album as a leader: "Storyteller" and "Emotional Machines: Live in San Francisco." His third album, "Fly," will be released in 2022.
